Hello Traders!

I have not made a post since my CELG trade.  I have been managing many of the positions, and I am at the point that most of my trades are going to be closed out very soon.  I feel a little under invested at this point.  I am looking for opportunities to get trades on, but the low volatility lately has been a challenge and the earnings that are about to hit affect the trades that I would like to put on.  That one time binary event can be a killer with a credit spread if it doesn’t go your way.  I typically try to avoid that situation if possible.  There should be some good trades coming in my aggressive trades portfolio due to earnings events.  Although, this quarter the feeling I get for some of the companies is very challenged and I think there is going to be some sandbagging during the calls.  So, we could see earnings come out and then the calls kill the positions.  There has been a lot of negative talk about the economy and would present an opportunity for companies to use this as an excuse to lower expectations and allow them to hit home runs over the next few quarters.  Near term that could be tough on the stocks.  Of course, this is an opinion.  If it was me in their position and I could fade my expectations to the current environment I would probably do it.  Just a thought.

Here are my option trading performance results for the year through the first full week of April.  You can see all the details on OptionCoach.com in the Strategies tab.  The Portfolio Performance page will have all the details and you can see all the positions in their respective strategies.
